Introduction

People not only gain understanding through reflection, they evaluate and alter their own thinking. - Albert Bandura

As educators, we are constantly challenging ourselves to reflect on our professional practice for the purpose of better meeting the needs of the children, families, and colleagues that we work with each day. As we begin our community- based training with the intention of further exploring the concepts of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) it is important to landmark the start of our personal journey. We are doing this in our community by completing the attached Pre-Training Self Reflection Questionnaire.

We are requesting that each educator in our community complete the Pre-Training Self-Reflection Questionnaire prior to attending any of the JEDI training, including the JEDI Advocate training. It is important to know that in completing the questionnaire your answers will remain anonymous. We will, however, use your anonymous responses to collect community data that will be used to inform future opportunities for collaborative learning.
