Introduction
Lantra are planning to develop a Higher Apprenticeship at level 4 for employees within the Land-based and Environmental Sector. To support this development, we are seeking the opinions of stakeholders to inform the first stages of the project, looking at the likely levels of demand for a Higher Apprenticeship programme.
If the feedback from this survey matches our initial research (which suggests a Higher Apprenticeship for the Land-based and Environmental Sector would be valued and used by employers), we will seek to apply for funding from the National Apprenticeship Service to develop an Apprenticeship programme and support the take-up of the Apprenticeship once developed. We would greatly appreciate any support you are able to provide for this proposal, and will ask for your details at the end of this survey if you would like to support the proposal.
Should a Higher Apprenticeship be developed, it is likely that the training costs would be part-funded by the Government, although it is expected that employers would have to contribute 50% of the costs for their own learners. From 2013/14, it is expected that loans will also be available for those over 22 years old to cover the costs of the course.
The survey should only take a few minutes to complete, with your anonymous responses being used to shape the next stage of the project. For more information or to provide further comment, please contact Jo-Anne Bryan at Lantra on 07867 908163, or e-mail joanne.bryan@lantra.co.uk
