Freelancers often face regulatory challenges and lack access to systematic benefits available to traditional employees. However, some countries, like Singapore, in the Middle East region, or the US, have implemented innovative policies to support freelance activities.
Both innovative and problematic policies were screened and clustered, resulting in this survey, which intends to understand their impact.
By participating in this survey, you can help improve the conditions for freelancers. The goal is to develop a flexible Free Zone framework* with progressive policies that can be adopted by any jurisdiction, regardless of its regulations.
This survey is conducted within a Business Master's program at HEC Paris in Qatar. It is anonymous. You may provide your email address at the end of the survey to receive the survey results and the finalised recommendation plan. I will also give away three USD 50 Amazon gift cards to participants who leave their email addresses!
*A Free Zone is a designated area within a country that operates under the country's civil laws but introduces its own set of business regulations. There are more than 5,000 operating Free Zones worldwide.
