To celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Port Hardy’s Incorporation, we’re inviting local youth to help us mark this milestone in a creative way!

We are looking for original artwork that can be featured on a commemorative button to be worn throughout the 60th Anniversary year.

🖌 Who Can Enter?
Youth artists will be grouped into age categories:
Ages 5–8
Ages 9–12
Ages 13–18
There will be prizes awarded in each category.
One or more designs per category may be selected to be turned into commemorative buttons.

We are seeking original, handmade artwork, including:
Hand-drawn illustrations
Painted artwork
Pencil or ink drawings
Marker or crayon artwork
Watercolour or acrylic paintings
Mixed media creations
Digital artwork (original designs only)

By submitting artwork to the Port Hardy 60th Anniversary Youth Button Contest, you confirm that the design is original and created by the submitting artist.

The artist retains ownership of their artwork. By submitting, you grant the District of Port Hardy a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to reproduce, resize, and use the design for commemorative buttons and related 60th Anniversary promotional purposes, including print, digital, social media, and display materials. Credit will be provided where possible.

For all artists under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must provide consent for the artwork to be submitted and used as described above. By completing the submission process, the parent/guardian confirms they have reviewed and approved the entry and grant permission for the District of Port Hardy to use the artwork for anniversary purposes.
