Abstract Submission Dates
  • Abstract Submission Deadline extended to Thursday, December 28, 2017
  • Notification of Abstract Acceptance: Friday, January 12, 2018
  • PGME Global Health Research Showcase: Thursday, February 1, 2018.

Abstract Submission Details
  • Abstracts should include the following sections: Background, Objectives, Methods, Results and Conclusions.
  • Authors will be asked to choose their presentation format preference (E-poster or Oral) when they submit their abstract.
  • A number of abstracts will be selected for ‘quick’ Roundtable oral or E-Poster presentations where authors will be given 5 minutes to present during the PGME GH Research Showcase on February 1. 
  • In addition all accepted submissions will be posted at gh.postmd.utoronto.ca and will also be featured at PGME Global Health Day on May 31, 2018
Abstract Review Process
  • Abstracts will be reviewed by a PGME GH Research Committee, which is comprised of your peers —residents and fellows from across all postgraduate training programs. 
  • Abstracts will be reviewed for appropriateness and completeness of the information, scientific merit, impact, and relevance to the goals and objectives of GH @ PGME. 
  • Prizes will be awarded acknowledging the best E-Poster and best oral presentation.
  • All submissions will be acknowledged by a return email.
