1. CBusStudentHack: 2017 Girls of Color Hack #HackCBus Application

The Girls of Color Hack #CBus coding event will give high school girls the opportunity to learn about computer science in a fun, engaging and inclusive environment. Over the course of the experience, girls will learn how to utilize MIT App Inventor to explore the world of mobile app development and create a real-world app that tackles a need or problem.
 
This coding event is comprised of 75 high school students. 
Families will be responsible for transportation to/from the site.

Dates: Friday, December 8th AND Saturday, December 9th, 2017
Times: Friday, 6:00-9:00PM; Saturday, 9:00AM - 6:00PM
Location: Franklin University 201 S Grant Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43215
Grade Band: 9th-12th grades
 
THIS OPPORTUNITY IS OPEN TO YOUNG WOMEN WHO MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

(1) Attend high school in Central Ohio
(2) Are enrolled in the 9th-12th grade

Student Selection Process:

Girls interested in being selected to participate will need to complete the full application before the Friday, December 1st, 2017 deadline. Up to 75 girls will be selected for the coding event based on their application. Students will be notified of selection by Monday, December 4th, 2017.
