Organization Information

The unique challenges of 2020 are causing nonprofit organizations to regroup, adapt, and pivot. Nothing about this year has been business as usual.  So, we are adapting Get on Board this year in order to keep everyone safe and healthy, and to better meet the needs of your organization.

Instead of our usual one-day event that brings together hundreds of people in one space, we are providing skill development workshops throughout the month of October. Some will be focused on supporting organizations and others will focus on individuals wanting to serve in volunteer leadership roles.

We are still putting together our Get on Board 2020 Nonprofit Guide that provides information about organizations seeking volunteer leaders. We’ll keep this guide on our website throughout the year as a resource for people looking for opportunities to get involved.

We know this year has been hard on nonprofits financially, so we’re not asking organizations to pay any kind of registration fee to be listed in the guide. In fact, we want to invest in you so we are giving each participating organization one complimentary registration that can be applied to any single Get on Board 2020 workshop this October. The complimentary registration can be used by a staff member, a board member, a person involved in your services or programming, or a community member you want to share the opportunity with. It’s up to you.

Here’s how it works:
  • Complete the Get on Board 2020 Nonprofit Guide Application
  • Within one week, we’ll let you know if you have been selected for inclusion in the guide
  • Organizations that are selected for inclusion in the guide will receive directions on how to register for a workshop using their code
  • The digital guide will be on our website throughout October during Get on Board 2020 so we can direct as many people as possible to learn more about your organization and its needs
  • We’ll leave the guide on the website throughout the year so it can continue to be a resource for your organization and the community
