We welcome your application for the 2024 RADM Michael Fellowship. This award provides funding for a current dues-paying COA member(s) at the rank of O-4 and below in the USPHS Commissioned Corps. At present, funding is limited to post-baccalaureate certificate programs offered by the University of Maryland School of Public Health. All courses are held virtually and “on campus” attendance is not required. Awards are expected to be announced in late June 2024..
The fellowship program covers tuition and fees associated with obtaining either a Certificate in Global Health, a Certificate in Health Data Analysis, or a Certificate of Professional Studies in Applied Epidemiology from the University of Maryland (UMD). NOTE: All three programs are 12 credits in length.
To apply for the RADM Michael Fellowship, applicants must first have applied for, and been accepted, as a non-degree seeking student at UMD. The selected recipient(s) will be expected to begin the program during the Fall term (August 2024) for the Global Health and Epidemiology certificates and Summer term (July 2024) for the Health Data Analysis program. Selectees must complete the certificate program in 12 months.
