K-Town Cleanups - Saturday, August 1st at Simmons Island

We would like to personally invite you to be part of something new for our community.

Ktown Connects Podcast and Sallese & Co. are proud to introduce Ktown Cleanups, a new community initiative dedicated to bringing people together through volunteer service while making Kenosha cleaner, stronger, and more connected.

Built around the motto "Stronger Together. Cleaner Together.", Ktown Cleanups is about more than picking up litter. It's about building community, creating new connections, encouraging civic pride, and providing opportunities for people from all walks of life to work side by side for a common purpose.

Our first community cleanup will take place on:

Saturday, August 1, 2026

Simmons Island Beach House

9:30 a.m. – Volunteer Check-In, Coffee & Light Refreshments

10:00 a.m. – Cleanup Begins

The cleanup will last approximately one hour.

Participation is completely free, and all cleanup supplies will be provided, including gloves, trash bags, and litter grabbers (as available). Complimentary coffee, bottled water, light snacks, and community giveaways will also be available for volunteers.

We hope you'll consider joining us.

Whether you're coming as an individual, bringing your family, organizing coworkers, representing your business or organization, or encouraging members of your church, club, or team to participate, your involvement will help make this initiative a success.

Ktown Cleanups is for everyone, and we especially invite:

• Local businesses and employee volunteer teams

• Community organizations and nonprofit groups

• Churches and faith communities

• Schools, colleges, and students seeking community service hours

• Scout troops, youth organizations, and sports teams

• Neighborhood associations

• Elected officials and community leaders

• Families and individuals who want to give back

This first cleanup is only the beginning. We are already planning our next Ktown Cleanup on Saturday, October 24th in the Lincoln Park area from 11:30AM- 1PM (Meet at disc golf hole 1), with additional cleanup events planned throughout the Kenosha area.

As one of our founding community partners, your participation will help establish Ktown Cleanups as a lasting tradition that brings people together through volunteer service and community pride for years to come.

Our hope is that Ktown Cleanups becomes more than a series of cleanup events. We want it to become a community tradition—one that brings neighbors together, strengthens relationships, inspires volunteerism, and reminds us all that even one hour of service can make a lasting difference.

We would be honored to have you join us as we launch this new community initiative.
