Skills shortages are costing Greater Manchester businesses growth, productivity, and profitability. Previous research has shown that 70% of employers reported recruitment difficulties, with vacancies taking over three months to fill and critical roles remaining unfilled. These challenges are limiting business expansion, increasing workload pressures on existing staff, and threatening the region's economic competitiveness.
The Greater Manchester Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) brings together employers, education providers, and local authorities to tackle these challenges head-on. This survey builds on findings from Stage 1 of the LSIP and will directly inform how skills funding and training resources are allocated across the region.
Your input matters because survey responses will help us understand the challenges with current workforce skills, recruitment difficulties and training needs.
The survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. Your responses will remain confidential, and individual businesses will not be identified.
As a thank you for your time, you will be entered into a prize draw to win one of five £50 Amazon vouchers. You will also receive early access to the survey findings report with benchmarking data for your sector.
