GMA (SA) - EXCELLENCE IN GOLF CLUB MANAGEMENT AWARD
The GMA (SA) Excellence in Golf Club Management Award recognises outstanding commitment and overall excellence in management that has resulted in a club and or the golf industry benefitting by the consistent high level performance of an individual working within the golf industry. Though a timeline of service is not stipulated and whilst not a life time award, nominations should be for employees of some years standing within the industry.
The recipient is not necessarily a member of GMA (SA), however within golf clubs in South Australia there are such individuals who consistently perform at an outstanding level and this award is designed to recognise their excellence.
Criteria
Judging of the award recipient will encompass the positive impact the management employee has made to the club and or the broader golf industry. This may include, but is not limited to:
• Club Promotion
• Marketing Initiatives
• A role model who inspires others
• Has raised the standards of service and member/guest satisfaction within the club
• Recruitment, retention and development of staff
• Activation of membership/game development programs
• Financial performance
• Governance initiatives
• Committee involvement
• Broader industry involvement
• Outcomes over and above their normal role
• Professional development
Nomination Process
Golf Management Australia SA invites its members and clubs to nominate individuals considered to be worthy recipients of this award. Nominations must include a summary of the individual’s achievements and years of service.
Nominations will close – 5pm Friday 16 September 2022.
Selection Process
Each nomination will be considered by the Award Selection Panel who will determine the finalists and ultimate recipient. The panel will comprise of an independent judge appointed by GMA (SA).
Award Presentation
The announcement of the winner of the Excellence in Management Award will be made at the 2022 South Australian Golf Industry Awards Dinner on Saturday 22 October at the Hilton Adelaide.
