Application to Participate in Events |
The Office of the Arts welcomes visual and performing artists and inquiries from food vendors who would like to be included in events organized by the division. In order to be invited to participate, interested parties must submit an application. The Office is committed to a fair and transparent process for providing opportunities for participation by artists and food vendors.
The criteria for inclusion are:
- Availability
- For artists: artistic excellence and quality of work samples
- For food vendors: whether or not the event is better served by food trucks or other ways of vending food (cart/tent setup) and the variety of food being served.
- Capable of creating work, performing, or vending outdoors.
Musicians will be invited to perform no more than two shows per fiscal year. Food vendors must pay registration and related permit fees.
Preference is given to applicants within a 50 mile radius of the City of Alexandria in the event of a tie between applicants.
