Dear Applicant,

The International Symposium on the Genetics of Industrial Microorganisms (GIM 2019) will take place on 8-11 September 2019 in Pisa, Italy. GIM 2019 is pleased to offer financial support for early career scientists. 

The financial support consists of:

Early Career Scientist: A free student registration (Early bird registration fee).

Please note: The registration fee is non transferrable and can not be exchanged into monetary value or similar.


Who can apply:

Early Career Scientists are eligible for financial support*.

*An Early Career Scientist is an active microbiologist who obtained his/her PhD less than five years prior to the application
deadline date and does not hold a permanent position, or is currently a PhD student.

To be considered, the applicant must have submitted an abstract and be listed as first author.

Deadline for application is 15 April 2019.

Notification: 

The receivers of grants will be selected by the GIM 2019 organising committee, and grant applicants will be informed directly by the GIM 2019 Conference Secretariat whether they are eligible or not. Recipients of the grant will have have their registration fee waived and will receive further instructions for registering as a grantee. 

Deadline for notification is 15 May 2019.
