Greetings WASFAA Members!

It is that time of the year when the WASFAA Awards Committee solicits nominations for the following awards:

1. Outstanding Service Award:  Nominee can be a Regular or Associate WASFAA member who has demonstrated exemplary leadership activities within the education and/or the financial aid profession; this individual should be a financial aid or a financial aid related professional whose career has been marked by service to fellow professionals, students, and others served by the financial aid profession.

2. Special Recognition Award:  Nominee may be a financial aid administrator or someone from a related field who merits special consideration based upon leadership, work on special projects, or significant contributions to the profession, association(s) or education; the nominee does not need to be a WASFAA member.

3. Retirement Awards:  WASFAA Members who have or are retiring during the 2015-2016 membership year (July 1, 2015-June 30, 2016).

4. New Professional Award:  Award is given to a Regular or Associate WASFAA member who has made an outstanding contribution to the financial aid profession. The recipient must have been in the profession for less than five years and made outstanding contributions at the institutional, state, regional, or national level. The recipient must be a current member of WASFAA.

These awards, as well as Years of Service Awards, will be presented at the spring WASFAA conference which will be held April 13-15, 2016 at the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center in Wisconsin Dells, WI as we celebrate 50 years of WASFAA.

There are so many deserving members that should be recognized. Therefore, we hope that you will take a minute to nominate a fellow member for their contributions to WASFAA or the financial aid community.

Nominations are due Monday, February 15, 2016 at 5:00 PM.
