Why 9th Grade is Important for College Bound Students
Katie Szalda, Director of Admissions, Siena College
Learn the value and importance of early college awareness and preparation beginning in 9th grade. Looking at the qualities colleges hone in on when reviewing admission applications, such as core courses, minimum requirements, the value of advanced coursework, extracurricular activity, etc., session attendees will collectively develop a list of activities and resources to use to convey the value of consistent academic effort and other activities and preparation inside and outside school.
This webinar series is supported, in part, with a federal GEAR UP grant awarded to Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities (cIcu) by the Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC), the state agency designated to administer the state’s NYGEAR UP grant.
