The National Association of Dental Laboratories is researching the feasibility of establishing a training program for technicians who have recently been promoted to a supervisory position along with current department managers. It has long been our industry’s practice to promote our best technicians to become department managers, although in many cases, such individuals do not have a business management education or experiential background.

The objective of launching such a program would enable the supervisor/department manager to have a higher probability of success when fulfilling such a role. This in turn would benefit the dental laboratory in terms of organic growth, profitability, and a happy workforce.

We appreciate you taking the time to answer a few questions so the NADL can consider market need and demand for such a program.
