Good Food Procurement Australia (GFPA) is establishing a Community of Practice to connect people interested in using public food procurement as a lever for healthier people, stronger regional economies, more resilient food systems and better environmental outcomes. Public food procurement includes the food purchased and served by institutions such as hospitals, aged care, long day care, correctional facilities, schools and other publicly funded organisations and programs.
Inspired by international collaborations and communities of practice, GFPA aims to create a welcoming space for learning, sharing, collaboration and practical action across the food system. We recognise that people are coming to this work with different levels of experience and understanding, and we want the Community of Practice to support both those new to the field and those already leading change.
This short survey will help GFPA understand:
-what people want from the Community of Practice
-what kinds of activities and resources would be most useful
-where there are opportunities for collaboration, learning and demonstration projects
-how we can best support practical action across Australia.
Estimated completion time: 5–7 minutes. We value your opinions and thank you for participating
