#GrowFoodChallenge Seed Distribution Registration 2026

About the Challenge

  1. The #GrowFoodChallenge encourages youth (ages 1–21) in Northwest Tennessee to learn about gardening, composting, nutrition, sustainability, and teamwork while connecting to the local food system.
  2. From May 1 – July 4, 2026, youth, families, schools, and community groups are invited to grow food and build soil through composting.
  3. We’re seeking partners in Benton, Carroll, Crockett, Dyer, Lake, Gibson, Henry, Obion, and Weakley counties to help distribute pre-packaged seed kits for the May 1st kickoff. Kits include seeds, a poster, and flyers.
  4. Seed distribution partners agree to host one gardening activity and one food waste activity during the Challenge. Participants only need to submit one photo or video online to be eligible for prizes.
  5. Complete the short registration form to get started.

I also understand due to limited supplies, I can use my own seeds to participate in the challenge; however all participants must submit online photos submissions, and live in Northwest Tennessee (Benton, Carroll, Crockett, Dyer, Gibson, Henry, Lake, Obion and Weakley Counties) to be qualified for prizes.
