Online survey on Branded Food Composition Databases
Dear all,
This is an activity aimed to understand the current status and needs of people working on Branded Food Composition Databases (BFCDs). Branded Food Composition Databases are a subcategory of Food Composition Databases and they include information about the composition and other characteristics of foodstuff that are sold under a specific brand. Instead of providing information for a generic foodstuff e.g. bread, a BFCD would include information for all foodstuff available and sold under a specific brand and traceable to the specific package size and brand name.
The intent of this questionnaire is to collect data from compilers and end-users of BFCDs in order to: 1) understand the current status on a national and EU level, 2) map issues and needs related to BFCDs and 3) create a platform for collaboration and advocacy around BFCDs.
We would like to ask you for some information about your experience in dealing with branded food data. We think it will help stimulate discussions and future actions in the field. The questionnaire provided will require approximately 15 mins to be completed. All data collected will comply with the EU GDPR legislation and will be used anonymously. The data will only be used for research purposes and no commercial use is foreseen.
