The Association of Clinicians for the Underserved's membership network began in 1996 with members and alumni of the National Health Service Corps, and we're honored to celebrate the Corps' 50 years of providing life-changing care and services to under-resourced communities at our 50th Anniversary Gala in Washington, D.C., on August 1. Complementing ACU's 2022 Conference, "Transformation and Resilience in Care" (July 31-August 2), this singular ceremony will recognize the Corps' 50 years of service.

We’re also excited to specifically honor the everyday heroes that constitute the clinicians and aspiring students of the Corps! ACU will recognize outstanding NHSC members and scholars who have demonstrated extraordinary commitment to care and community impact in a special NHSC Excellence award ceremony of our Gala, and we need your help to identify them: nominate a Corps member or scholar you know, or submit a self-nomination, for the following awards to be presented at ACU’s NHSC 50th Anniversary Gala on August 1, 2022:

  • Outstanding Member Award: This accolade will recognize a current National Health Service Corps participant who has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to improving the health of under-resourced communities with compassion and excellence in service.
  • Outstanding Scholar Award: This accolade will recognize an NHSC Scholarship or Students to Service LRP recipient whose work demonstrates excellence, compassion, and a mission-driven commitment to improving health equity for under-resourced communities.

Note: Each award recipient will receive free registration to ACU’s 50th Anniversary Gala.
