Giving Cycle 2020 Social Impact Challenge

Hello middle schooler!  Thank you for your interest in nominating an organization to receive one of Giving Cycle's Social Impact Challenge grants (award amounts will be either $250, $500 or $1000). 
 
We are looking to hear from you about what organizations are having a critical impact in your community at this moment in our nation's history.  
 
Here is the timeline:
  • October 30: Round 1 nominations due using this survey
  • November 5: Round 1 results announced / Round 2 selectees provided next submission form
  • November 30: Round 2 submission due
  • December 15: Winners announced
What's in it for me?  Besides doing good, and all the great feelings that come along with that...
  • All Round 1 participants will receive a certificate for 1 hour of community service
  • All Round 2 participants will receive a certificate for 2 hours of community service
  • If your organization is selected to receive a grant, you will also earn a gift card worth 10% of the amount that your organization receives!

Important Note: If you are selected to advance to Round 2, you will need to interview someone from your chosen nonprofit and explain something this nonprofit has learned about how to effectively deliver its mission, in light of the dual crises of racial injustice and the global COVID-19 pandemic.  The essay can be up to 3000 characters (~500 words) and must include one direct quote from the staff or Board member interviewed.  You will also need to provide contact info for the person interviewed.
