TIP:
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a U.S. Green Building Council designation. Offering a commuter program for your employees is one of many options to earn points toward this designation. Someone in facilities will know whether or not your building(s) has this designation.
GBN (California Green Business Network) is a statewide designation for organizations that implement strategies related to energy use, pollution, solid waste, transportation, and water. There is an annual certification fee. We verify the transportation section.
BWC (Best Workplaces for Commuters from Center for Urban Transportation Research) nationally recognizes organizations that offer commuter benefits. An application and fee are required annually ($480). Membership includes valuable case studies and recruitment visibility.
LAB (League of American Bicyclists) designates companies, schools, cities, buildings, and more as bicycle friendly on a scale from bronze to gold. There is an application and fee very two years ($100). LAB designations have a following, so designation is useful for recruitment.
CUP (Condition of Use Permit) is issued by a jurisdiction. If your site is newer in Goleta, SB, or County area, you may have a condition of use related to a commuter program. Our commuter program ensures compliance.
