Buprenorphine Prescribing

Medically Assisted Therapy (MAT) and buprenorphine in particular have been a significant part of the discussions regarding persons with Substance Use Disorder (SUD). At the last Congress of Delegates, several resolutions were proposed which were intended to increase the exposure of residents to buprenorphine prescribing, encourage their certification and to encourage all members to make prescribing this medication part of their existing practice.

We plan to use the results of this survey in a future Family Doctor Journal article with the goal of encouraging more family physicians to use buprenorphine in their practice, and will share these results through our journal and website. We hope that some of you will be willing to be contacted to provide information beyond what is included in this survey with the intent of sharing your perspective with other family doctors. If you would like to share additional details about your experience, please provide your contact information at the end of the survey.

This survey should take you 5-10 minutes to complete
