Description of Areas to Volunteer:


Clergy (Lead prayer for groups of 7-10+ participants within the Human Christian Prayer Chain)

Intercessors (To pray during the week of April 27, 2020 within the foot print of City Hall and the Monroe County Office Building)

Ministry Contact/Participant Coordinator (To communicate with ministries and NDPI Launch Team to distribute information, follow up on registrations and meet participation deadlines.)

Shofar Blowers To supply a Shofar “rams horn” and participate by blowing simultaneously with the allotted 26 Shofar Blowers at the beginning and end of the prayer segment. You may still participate if you do not own or have access to a Shofar.)

Prayer Chain Managers (Managing assigned locations and communicating with the Lead Managers to direct attendees to positions in order to complete the chain with prayer participants.)

Information Distributors (Distribute fliers, brochures and participation packages where assigned and throughout the city.)

Shuttle Vans and Drivers (A licensed driver with a passenger van or coach bus to drive attendees from the Free Parking area to various stops encircling City Hall & the Monroe County Office Building. This will be a dedicated continuous circular route with limited traffic. Drivers & vehicles report at 10:00am. Shuttle Service begins from 10:30AM until 12:30pm.
Passenger Monitors (To assist Shuttle Drivers on board the vehicles & at designated locations)


Videographers (To video/film an assigned location of National Day of Prayer Initiative activities, program content, Prayers, attendees, etc.)

Still Photographers (To photograph an assigned location of National Day of Prayer Initiative activities, program content, Prayers, attendees, etc.)

General Help Team (Willing to accept any task requested by an NDPI Lead Manager within the overall event. If you have a physical limitation, please advise in advance. Tasks will consist of runners, assisting in location set-up, directing attendees, monitoring vehicles, assisting seniors, etc.)
