The Family Medicine Resident Job Seeking Survey

This survey will assist researchers at The American Academy of Family Physician's (AAFP) Robert Graham Center for Policy Studies to understand some of the decision making and support mechanisms that exist when selecting employment after residency training.

Participation is voluntary, and the survey will take no more than 5 minutes to complete. You may stop the survey at any time. Individual results will not be made available to anyone other than the principal researcher. We will not ask for your name, or the name of your residency program. All results will be downloaded from Survey Monkey and stored on a secure sever at the AAFP Robert Graham Center.

It is anticipated that the anonymous, aggregated results will form part of research that helps to strengthen the family medicine job market, and to also inform education about employment opportunities in each state.

We encourage you to participate in this survey, as it will help to create a stronger family medicine workforce. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the principal researcher (Dr. Robert Baillieu) at

Thank you for your time.
