AmSECT AC-PE Standards and Guidelines Comment |
The Accreditation Committee - Perfusion Education (AC-PE) works in conjunction with the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) to establish Standards and Guidelines for accredited educational programs in perfusion. The current Standards and Guidelines, approved in 2012, were generated in collaboration with AmSECT, AACP, AATS, ABCP, PPDC, SCA and the STS. CAAHEP policy requires those Standards and Guidelines to be reviewed at least every five years. The review/revision process requires both the AC-PE and its sponsoring organizations to obtain input from their communities of interest. The AC-PE has recently approved a draft of the current revisions for distribution and feedback.
