This survey is designed to help prioritize work for NMA's heavy trail maintenance program that will kick off in July 2019 if NMA is awarded their NOVA and RTP grants. When answering these questions, please keep the definition of heavy trail maintenance in mind. In this survey, heavy trail maintenance is defined as removal of whoops, breaking bumps, ruts, and root staircases. Also in this category are restoring sloughed trail, fixing drainage problems, mitigating trail braiding, mitigating waterway siltation and repairing switchbacks.

* 10. The grants include training for volunteers to become paid operators of a ST240 (single track heavy equipment). The training program will take 40-60 hours to achieve proficiency with the ST240. Would you be willing to commit 40-60 hours of volunteer time to have a chance to become a paid operator?
