Open Call – Visioni Festival for Early Years in Bologna, Italy - 28 Feb to 8 March 2020 |
APPLICATION FORM
“Visioni” is an occasion of meetings and discussions, attended every year by many Italian and International theatre practitioners, dedicated to the performing arts for early years (0-6 years old). The Festival will support up to 3 Australian practitioners to attend. Travel not included.
Opportunity ONE - "Open Window" program:
ASSITEJ Australia (TNA) members are invited to be the guest of the Visioni Festival's "Open Window" 2020 - an opportunity to observe, reflect, experience and share knowledge and expertise about theatre for children and very young children.
“Open Window” is an open space for internationals intending to broaden (or commence) research on the relationship between performing arts and early years.
During the Visioni festival there will be 40 performances for the very young (0-6 years) from international companies, as well as workshops and conferences on the relationship between arts and young children. Attend all shows (if you want!) and talk and share with artists from all over the world.
The Festival can host 2 Australian artists for 5-6 days during the Italian festival, paying for accommodation and meals. Travel is not included, but TNA can provide letters of support for funding applications. Successful applicants will be part of an acknowledged ASSITEJ Australia delegation and are expected to report back on activities and learnings.
Opportunity TWO - Artists Meet Early Years:
Young emerging artists (under 35) are invited to apply to be part of the delegation. One selected artist will be part of the Artists Meet Early Years (AMEY) project within the festival.
Artists Meet Early Years offers the chance to meet and observe early years children in educational communities. Selected artists will be free to present fragments of a performance, tell a story or lead a workshop, either in a kindergarten or in a crèche.
This program will host 6 artists from around the world. Selection includes access to the festival program, accommodation and allowance for 3 days, but no travel costs.
To apply for either of the above opportunities please complete the following by Friday 31 May.
