LGBTQ+ Student Experiences at EWU

Welcome!

Dr. Nick Franco, Director of the Pride Center at Eastern Washington University (EWU), is conducting a study on the LGBTQ+ student experience at EWU. As part of the study, this survey asks LGBTQ+ students for their honest opinions about their experiences at EWU, focusing mostly on issues of inclusiveness, areas of strength and improvement, and programming efforts. Some example questions might include:
  • What programs or activities would you like to see from the Pride Center in the future?
  • What are some ways faculty help you feel welcomed and affirmed in the classroom?
  • When in the classroom, what are some things that make you feel unwelcome or uncomfortable?
At the end of the survey, you will have the option to provide your contact information to participate in a 60-minute virtual interview with Dr. Franco. You will be directed to a separate web page so that your information for this survey remains anonymous.

Given the scope of this study, only LGBTQ+ students enrolled at EWU who are 18 years of age or older should complete the survey.

This survey will take approximately 15-20 minutes of your time. All responses will be anonymous, so please respond openly and honestly. Participation in this survey is entirely voluntary, and you can withdraw at any time without penalty.
