This brief survey seeks your valuable feedback on our progress in various areas of the Accessibility Plan and aims to identify areas needing further improvement. Your insights are crucial to guiding our ongoing efforts to enhance accessibility throughout Springwater. The Accessibility Plan in Springwater focuses on five key areas: customer service, information and communication, employment, transportation, and the design of public spaces.
1. Customer Service
Engaging with Springwater customer service encompasses any interaction with Township services. This includes contacting us via phone, email, or submitting a service request. Additionally, when you visit any Township-operated facilities, such as the Community Hall, Administration Building, parks, or libraries, you are experiencing our customer service firsthand.
2. Information and Communication
This area covers all methods by which the Township disseminates information, including news releases, facility signage, our website, documents, and planning information.
3. Employment
This includes the entire hiring process, from application and interviews, to ongoing support for Township employees.
4. Transportation
This concerns various elements such as roadways, sidewalks, transit, and maintenance. All new transportation infrastructure or upgrades comply with AODA standards to ensure accessibility.
5. Design of public spaces
Encompasses parks and playgrounds, public open spaces, and community gathering places. Similar to transportation systems, these public spaces are brought up to standard during renovations or reconstruction.
The survey is designed to be completed in no more than 10 minutes, with all questions being optional. We encourage residents, stakeholders, and users of our public spaces to take part and share their perspectives.
Your feedback will support us in prioritizing key areas for future accessibility enhancements, within the five areas of focus, ensuring that Springwater remains welcoming and accessible to everyone. Thank you for your participation and commitment to our community.
