Community input on Artificial Intelligence (AI) at KCLS

King County Library System is thinking about using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to better serve our community. AI tools are programs like ChatGPT or voice assistants that can answer questions, generate text, or help complete tasks.

We want your input before we make any decisions. This survey takes about 4 minutes. What you tell us will help the library decide which AI-powered services and programs to offer — and which ones aren't right for our community. All responses are anonymous. We'll share back what we heard when we're done.
1.How would you describe your current comfort level with AI tools?
2.What concerns, if any, do you have about AI?
3.What is something you wish was easier to do when it comes to finding information, getting help, or learning something new?
4.If the library offered a program to help people learn about and use AI tools, would you be interested?
5.What would make you trust a technology program at the library?
6.Who do you think benefits most from new technology tools right now?
7.Is there anything else you want KCLS to know about technology and the library?
8.Do you or a member of your household have a KCLS Library card?
9.What is your age range?
10.Which library do you visit most often?
Thank you. Your response will be combined with other input and used to set priorities for technology projects at KCLS. We'll share back what we heard before we make any decisions.
