Selected submissions will be showcased as part of the Port Hardy Timeline Project, highlighting the people, places, and events that have shaped our community.
📷 How to Participate
Submit:
1. One high-quality photograph (digital format preferred)
2. A short written story to accompany your photo
📝 Your Submission Must
✔️ A clear, clean image (no heavy filters, damage, or or obstructions)

✔️ The year the photo was taken (approximate year is acceptable if exact date
✔️ A brief description (2–5 sentences) explaining why this moment is significant to Port Hardy’s history
📌 Important Notes
• Submissions must relate directly to the geographic area of Port Hardy. Photographs may represent any time period (including beyond the past 60 years).
• Photos may depict community events, local businesses, landscapes, milestones, cultural moments, or everyday life from years past.
• By submitting, you grant permission for the District of Port Hardy to use the image for the Timeline Project and related anniversary promotions (credit will be provided where possible).
All submissions must be shared in a respectful and responsible manner. Photographs must not contain content that is discriminatory, offensive, exploitative, or harmful toward any individual or group based on race, identity, ethnicity, age, gender, religion, ability, or any other protected characteristic.
All images must respect cultural traditions, community values, and the dignity of individuals depicted. Appropriate permissions must be obtained where required.
