About This Survey

Fort Southwest Point showcases an important chapter in Tennessee’s early history at the former frontier between U.S. and Cherokee lands. In the 1980s, the Fort buildings were reconstructed on the original archaeological foundations and the site has since been managed as a park by the City of Kingston.

Approximately 20 acres containing the historic fort site will be transferred to the State of Tennessee to become the future Fort Southwest Point State Historic Park, as shown in the map below, not to include sports facilities managed by the City of Kingston.

This survey is intended to collect public input to help guide early master planning decisions, including future amenities, programs, and operations. Your responses will be used alongside other planning tools and public input to inform decisions. While not every suggestion can be implemented, all responses help shape planning priorities.Future State Park Map
