New York State Plan on Aging 2023-2027 |
About
The federal Older Americans Act (OAA) of 1965 requires each state to submit a multi-year Plan to the Administration for Community Living (ACL). As part of this process, the OAA requires states to solicit advice and guidance from consumers, providers, advocates and families on the proposed Plan.
This public process serves as an opportunity for NYSOFA to describe in greater detail the programs and services financed under the OAA, how they are integrated with state and local resources, and to provide greater clarity on the state’s efforts to meet the needs of older adults and their families.
Each of the Plan’s 9 goals is identified below. In the accompanying text boxes, please provide us with comments or recommendations for each of the goals. Each question allows for up to a 500-word response. You can answer as many areas as you’d like, but you DO NOT need to answer all the questions. Just address those that are of particular interest to you.
Please provide all responses by June 14, 2023. If you have additional questions or concerns, please write to FourYearPlan@aging.ny.gov.
