Welcome and thank you for your interest in the FoodCycler trial program.

Enrollment for the program will be on a first come, first served basis until all units have been purchased.
You must be a resident of the Township of Algonquin Highlands to be eligible to participate in this program.  All residents are included (seasonal and year round).

Residents of other municipalities are welcome to complete this enrollment form but they will not be eligible to purchase a FoodCycler unit at this time.  If you provide your e-mail address we can let you know if units become available to residents outside of the Township of Algonquin Highlands.

Please note:  This form is required to be completed to be eligible to purchase a FoodCycler unit.  It does not guarantee you will receive a unit.  There are a limited number of FoodCyclers available at the subsidized cost through this trial program.  You will be notified by e-mail as to whether units are still available.

Your answers to the following questions will in no way impact whether you are eligible to participate in this trial program and purchase a FoodCycler unit.

Only one unit per household.

Before continuing, please be aware that to participate in this trial program you must be willing to:

  1. Purchase a FoodCycler unit at a cost of $150 plus HST (total $169.50).  Payment will be required when you pick up your unit and payment can only be made by debit or credit card.
  2. You will be required to utilize the FoodCycler unit in your household for at least 12 weeks.
  3. During the 12 week evaluation period, you will be required to track the number of FoodCycler cycles you run (a simple tally sheet will be provided at pick-up).  This data will be reported in the usage survey (see #5).
  4. At the end of the 12 week evaluation period you will be required to complete a usage survey.  This survey shouldn’t take more than 10-15 minutes to complete and will be comprised mostly of multiple choice questions.  Questions will be related to your experience using the FoodCycler and your waste generation and waste management practices.
  5. You cannot sell or transfer use of the FoodCycler unit during the 12 week evaluation period.
  6. The FoodCycler unit is covered by a 1-year standard manufacturer’s warranty. FoodCycler will repair or replace any defects during the warranty period. All warranty service will be provided by contacting FoodCycler directly. The Township of Algonquin Highlands will not provide any warranty or repair service for FoodCycler units.
  7. All personally identifiable information will be removed before information collected through this program will be shared with Food Cycle Science Corporation (FoodCycler), Impact Canada and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.
  8. You will be required to sign an enrollment agreement with the terms as outlined above when you pick up your FoodCycler.
