Faculty and Staff Workshop & First-Generation Celebration Week 2026

How Assignment Design and Motivational Conversations Can Boost First-Gen Student Success!

On Tuesday November 10th 2026, from 12:00-1:30pm in the Berry Library (LIB 215), faculty and staff will be offered a mid-year opportunity to continue learning about first-generation student needs and strengths and how we serve them, both inside and outside the classroom. This workshop will have the focus of 1) highlighting successful practices of engagement with first-gen students and following up with a group activity, 2) a share back from the inaugural summer 2026 First-Gen Academy, and 3) presenting a new canvas resource co-developed by the First-Gen Center and CTI.
