First-Generation Spotlight

Thank you for participating in our First-Gen Students Spotlight!

Highlighting your experience as first-gen provides an incredible visibility to our community, and allows other students to see how many of their peers and student leaders are on campus. We will use student spotlights and showcase at our major celebration events, such as the First-Generation Student Success Week.

As a reminder of our definition: “A first-generation student is broadly defined as neither parent nor guardian having graduated with a bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college/university in the US.”

For any questions, please contact us at firstgen@salemstate.edu

Thank you for your support, for sharing your experience, and thank you for helping us being first-gen forward!
