Permit conditions:
-Collection shall occur only on Indigo Shire council designated roads as nominated above. This permit does not apply to VicRoads roads, or other Indigo Shire roads and sections not included above.
·Firewood collected from a road reserve must not be used for a commercial enterprise.
-The permission to collect firewood is personal to the addressee and cannot be transferred to another party.
· The permit holder must keep a copy of the approved permit and conditions with you when you undertake the collection of the firewood as proof of permission from Council and acceptance of these conditions for the collection of the firewood.
-You accept all responsibility for any damages or claims arising out of your activities and release and hold the Shire harmless so that it will not be held liable under any circumstances for your collection of firewood on this road.
-Liability Indemnity: I agree to indemnify and to keep indemnified Indigo Shire Council, its servants and agents, and each of them from and against all actions, costs, claims, charges, expenses, penalties, demands and damages whatsoever which may be brought or made or claimed against them, or any of them, arising from my collection of firewood on a Council road reserve performance or purported performance of its obligations under this Agreement and be directly related to the negligent acts, errors or omission of the Indigo Shire Council.  My liability to indemnify the Indigo Shire Council shall be reduced proportionally to the extent that any act or omission of the Indigo Shire Council, its servants or agents, contributed to the loss or liability.
-Hold Harmless: I agree to hold harmless the Indigo Shire Council, its servants and agents, and each of them from and against all claims resulting from damage, loss, death or injury whatsoever which may otherwise be brought or made or claimed by me against the Indigo Shire Council, except to the extent that the Indigo Shire Council is negligent.
-Privacy policy information Personal information collected by Council is used for municipal purposes as specified in the Local Government Act 1989. The personal information will be used solely by Council for these purposes and/or directly related purposes. Council may disclose this information to other organisations if required by legislation. The applicant understands that the personal information provided is for the above purpose and that he/she may apply to Council for access to and/or amendments of the information. Any requests for access and/or correction should be made to Council’s Privacy Officer. 
- Only fallen dead timber is allowed to be collected. No standing trees or other standing vegetation shall be damaged, felled, lopped or removed regardless of whether the tree or other vegetation is alive or dead. 
-Fallen timber with hollows shall not be taken as it provides shelter and habitat for native wildlife.
- Total collection for the permit duration must not exceed four cubic meters. 
-You must take all reasonable steps to ensure that your activities do not cause the spread of weeds by keeping your equipment, trailer, vehicle and boots clean, free of mud, waste and weed material while on the roadside.
- The permit holder is responsible for identifying and managing personal safety hazards, including wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment, and safe chainsaw operation.
-  It is the permit holder’s responsibility to ensure all equipment used for the collection of firewood is in appropriate working condition
-Hazards found on road reserves may include but are not limited to: broken overhead branches, dead standing trees, uneven or slippery ground conditions; vehicles; mine shafts; vegetation with thorns; snakes and stinging insects.
