This Autumn, the English National Opera launches an exciting new digital project for pupils with a learning age of approximately 7 – 11 years, bringing a fusion of opera, live film and animation straight to your classroom for FREE. 

Using a specially commissioned operatic work as a starting point, we will inspire your pupils to create and produce their own music through an invitation to respond to, and resolve, unfinished artistic work

Your class will
  • Experience opera in a unexpected way
  • Be able to express themselves and respond creatively
  • Increase self-confidence, creativity and sense of achievement
  • Develop critical engagement to listen and decode music
  • Be encouraged to develop their own music interpretations
  • Experiment with ways of organising music to communicate meaning
  • Reconnect with their peers and the curriculum with a fun, unique learning experience
Project Package 
  • An Educational film developed specifically for primary learners
  • Operatic music performed by the world-class ENO Orchestra and Chorus
  • Composition toolkit, with digital and printed resources,
  • Teacher learning resource pack, with additional cross-curriculum exercises
  • Online CPD for teachers, introducing the toolkit and new approaches to music making in the classroom
  • The opportunity to celebrate and share your pupils’ music submissions with parents, peers and the school community.
Booking Steps
  1. Complete and submit this booking form
  2. You will receive an email confirming receipt of your booking form
  3. You will receive an email to confirm if your booking request has been successful with 10 days of submitting your form.
  4. You will receive a School Letter of Agreement and Class Information Form, detailing how the project will work.

Booking is open to UK state primary and SEND schools. Class places are limited, early booking is advised.
