Fertility Centers in Nigeria: Covid-19 Pandemic Impacts Survey
Impact of COVID-19 pandemic, NCDC & AFRH policies on Fertility Centers and their operations.
COVID-19 pandemics has created a huge disruptions to the activities of Fertility centers and patients alike. These realities are to heed public health authorities’ advice to curb the spread of the disease in the communities and to protect patients and healthworkers from contracting the disease. Fertility Centers have to significantly adjust their modes of operation causing significant distruption to service deliveries and staff welfare, in addition to escalating cost incurred to procure personal protective equipments for their operations. Furthermore, infertile couples and families are also facing significant disruptions to their treatments, financial plans and uncertainty about when their fertility treatments will begin. This survey is to evaluate the impacts that COVID-19 pandemic, the compulsory societal lockdowns, total or partial closures of clinics/centers will have on the budgetary and operational activities of Fertility Centers.
