Can an accreditation process be responsive to institutional mission, provide quality assurance, and support innovation? The Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP) has developed an accreditation and quality support system that does all three. Formed by educator preparation professionals in 2017, AAQEP's standards provide a framework for assuring quality while supporting and encouraging engagement with education's most challenging issues. This presentation will outline AAQEP's standards and innovative accreditation processes.
