Introductory Statement:
You are invited to participate in this study about fathers' experience in the areas of work and friendship. Details of this study are provided in the following sections of this form. We are available to answer any questions you may have about this study at any time.
What is the purpose of this study?
The purpose of this study is to examine how fathers' work and friendship patterns and perceptions have changed since the birth of their first child.
What will I do in this study?
Participants will answer a series of questions about their experience.
How long will it take me to do this?
This study should take approximately fifteen minutes.
Are there any risks of participating in the study?
There are no known risks for participating in this study. In the unlikely event that a participant becomes discouraged after completing the surveys, they may contact us.
What are the benefits of participating in the study?
No benefits can be expected from participating in this study, except for having added to our understanding of how fathers are affected by the birth of their child, with the hope of developing strategies in the future for assisting fathers.
Will anyone know what I do or say in this study (Confidentiality)?
Nothing that can identify you will be recorded. Data is entered anonymously.
Will I receive any compensation for participation?
You will not receive any compensation for your participation.
