General Summary (Purpose) of Position
The Office of Transportation Services is seeking part-time (8 to 15 hours a week) drivers, to drive shuttle vans between on and off-campus locations.
Examples of Duties:
1.) Driving shuttle vans on a continues route
2.) Communicating with students about campus transportation
3.) General cleaning of the vans after each shift
4.) Completion of paper work after each shift
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Valid US drivers license
• Current registered student at UMass Lowell
• Clean driving record, and University Judicial Record
• Job offer for this position is contingent upon a satisfactory response to a Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) check and review.
• Job offer for this position is contingent on passing of a defensive driving course (will be offered by UMass Lowell)
• Drug testing may be conducted, employees will be required to pass
• Must be able to work nights and weekends, shifts end at 2:30AM Sunday - Wednesday & 3:15AM Thursday - Saturday.
Work Environment
Position involves driving a van:
Occasional (10-33%) standing, pushing, pulling and grasping, reaching and viewing a computer and other types of close visual work. Constant (67-100%) sitting, repetitive motion, talking and hearing.
