About the group:

The Family and Friends Reference Group is made up of a diverse group of people of varying ages, genders, cultural backgrounds and family types and covers the headspace Redcliffe, Strathpine & Indooroopilly centres.

The members of the Reference Group consult with their local headspace centre on a variety of topics and issues, and are involved in a number of local projects.
Requirements
A Family and Friends Advisor should:
- Have the time to volunteer as a family and friends advisor
Have the desire to help headspace in their work improving young peoples’ well-being
- Have a good understanding of how-to self-care when faced with stressful experiences
- Demonstrate professional behavioural and a respectful attitude
- Have or are willing to complete a National Criminal History Record Check and a working with Children’s Check
- Abide by headspace Health Policies on privacy and confidentiality
- Have an interest in and commitment to the health and wellbeing of young people.
