In 2011, the OMB Office of Federal Procurement Policy (OFPP) undertook a major  initiative to improve government-industry communication and engagement with the announcement of the “Mythbusting” program. ACT-IAC assisted OFPP in the development of this important initiative and continues to provide support.

In 2013, the Acquisition Management Community of Interest created the “ACT-IAC Excellence in Government-Industry Engagement Award” (previously the “Mythbusting Award”) to recognize those Federal departments and agencies who have made a significant contribution to improved government-industry communications.

Nominations are now being accepted for this award that will be presented at an ACT-IAC forum on government-industry communications to be held in September 2016.
