Young people in the North East have been asked to investigate the possibility of developing a Mental Health Youth Board similar to the one that has been developed in Birmingham www.youthspace.me
The youth board would be led by a young person and would comprise a number of young people from across the region who have experience in using mental health services. As an example, the Birmingham Youth Board meets monthly to advise decision makers on the following: how to develop new services from a young person’s point of view; web-site development; raising awareness about mental health issues and reducing stigma. However, in the North East you may decide that something completely different is required.
We want to hear what you have to say before deciding what to do next and would be really happy if you could give us your thoughts on the questions below.
