Thank you for your interest in becoming a judge for the 2020 IACP Digital Media, Food Photography & Styling, or Food Writing Awards committees. Open committee positions are anticipated to be filled by the end of September 2019 by the committee Chair through a review of qualifications and category needs. Please see judge qualifications and requirements listed below. Once chosen, judges will receive more information about timelines and specific duties.

To help determine your interest and availability, here are the key dates for the judging process:

As a reminder, here are the judge qualifications and requirements:

1. You are not eligible to be a judge for a committee if you have written, edited, or significantly contributed to any piece entered into this year's competition for that committee. For instance, if you have contributed to work entered into the Digital Media Awards you may not judge that award. However, you would be eligible to apply to judge our other award categories.

2. All category selections and information regarding the judging process must remain confidential.

3. The call for judges is open to everyone, both IACP members and the general public.

4. Judges should be able to work comfortably with online surveys for scoring.

5. Judges cannot sit on the same awards committee for two consecutive years. For example, if you judged the Food Writing Awards last year you are not eligible to apply again this year for that committee. However, you would be welcome to apply to either the Digital Media or Food Photography & Styling Awards instead.

6. The Digital Media, Food Photography & Styling, and Food Writing Awards allow judges to reside internationally.

Thanks so much for considering this opportunity to give back to IACP. We appreciate all you have already done for the organization and look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,

Paola Briseño González / Director of Awards and Culinary Events
