Thank you for applying to be a First Year Mentor in the Office of Student Success and the First Year Experience at Salem State University. Mentors support new students as they acclimate to college by helping them navigate the institution through one-on-one interactions, sharing of experiences through events/panels/blogs, managing the class pages and social media channels, and by coordinating events and programs throughout the year.
Please note - we request that, if able, students submit a FAFSA so we can consider you for work-study funds (to provide extra hours). The pay rate is $15.50/hour.
Applications are due Friday March 6 at noon. You will be contacted to set up an individual interview which occurs March 8 - April 3.
