2021 Floodplain Management Plan (FMP) Flooding Questionnaire

City of Fort Worth Stormwater Management Program

The City of Fort Worth’s Stormwater Management Program is dedicated to providing residents with information about flood hazards, and opportunities to reduce that risk.

Please fill out this Flooding Questionnaire as a useful way for the Stormwater Program to understand how we can better serve property owners in Fort Worth.
1.Every property has some level of flood risk – it’s just a matter of whether the flood risk is high, moderate, or low. Flood risk is identified on the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA’s) Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs). What level of risk is your property located in?
2.What types of flooding from rainfall have you experienced?
(Select all that apply)
3.If you have experienced property or structure flooding at your home or workplace, what was the source?
(Select all that apply)
4.Flood insurance is not a part of standard insurance policies. Do you have flood insurance?
5.When it comes to flood risks in your area, other than loss of life, which threat is currently your biggest concern?
6.What types of flood reduction activities do you think the City of Fort Worth should focus on? (Select all the apply)
7.Do you have any suggestions you believe would help mitigate flooding in the City of Fort Worth?
8.Do you have any additional comments or concerns relating to floodplain management?
