To qualify to serve on the Civil Grand Jury, you must meet the following requirements as outlined in California Penal Code Section 893:
*Be a citizen of the United States; 18 years of age or older
*Be a current resident of Sonoma County and for one year immediately before June 24, 2026
*Possess average intelligence, sound judgment and character
*Possess sufficient knowledge of the English language

Civil Grand Jury hours vary throughout the term (July to June). Most of these hours are during the workday, especially during investigations. Some work can be done at home.
